Wildlife and Winelands Family Tour
This family centric adventure to see wildlife and the Winelands will create amazing memories.
We begin our day with a visit to Giraffe House in Klapmuts. Monkeys, Springbok, Giraffe and Zebra are a few of the wildlife you will see. Giraffe House provides a place for people to enjoy the outdoors while learning about animals.
Our next stop is the Drakenstein Lion Park. They do not breed lions but offer them a home for a lifetime. This is an amazing opportunity to see a rare species of white Lions. Their Chimpanzees at this reserve came from Tygerberg zoo. The zoo closed in 2012 and the chimps were given a forever home here.
Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate is the perfect stop for variety and decadence. The adults can enjoy a wine tasting and a round table of different cheeses. The estate is quaint and the resident goats are photo-ready and will keep everyone else entertained.
By now you will have worked up an appetite and The Spice Route is only a short distance from Fairview. We recommend this our lunch stop as it has plenty of eateries to choose from. From pizza to modern South African cuisine to ice cream and chocolate tasting: there’s something for everyone.
Our final stop is Vergenoegd Wine estate where you will watch the Duck Run. Vergenoegd is famous for this Duck Run & you can enjoy a wine tasting and the grounds while you wait.
